- Our mother organization les petits frères des Pauvres (Little Brothers of the Poor) was founded in 1946 in France and has since expanded to the USA, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Ireland, Poland, Switzerland and Germany.
- Our organization is based on the enthusiasm, commitment and engagement of our volunteers.
- We visit our elderly friends regularly and organize outings and vacations.
- Impersonal care alone is not enough. We emphasize personal contact and cordial relations.
- We organize activities such as Christmas celebrations, coffee klatches, afternoon game sessions and we maintain a hotline telephone service.

We gained recognition as an eligible organization and as a member of the Deutscher Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband, a German association of social service organizations that are not affiliated politically or religiously.
